Hiatus, Lacuna, Pause.

Dear readers,

For a number of reasons that I am not going to discuss, I am not going to blog any more for a while.  I may come back to it later.

I would like to thank everyone that has read and responded to Indy Theatre Habit over the past three and a half years.  I hope you will continue to make a habit of going to see live theatre.

I’ll see you there!

P.S. – If you’re curious about what I’ve been seeing, I am maintaining my Directory of 2011 Shows.  Last updated 12/29/11.   And although I have a love-hate relationship with Twitter, for now I am also tweeting about almost every show I see:  www.twitter.com/IndyTheatre.

  1. This is too bad. You filled a void early on that needed to be filled, and now your absence will be felt tremendously. Perhaps you could have guest bloggers? Oh well, I trust you are well and if you need anything, you have hundreds of friends that will leap to your side. Best wishes!

  2. Really hate to hear this. Hope you’ll come back at some point, but only do it if you love it…if you no longer love it, it’s time to stop. Your insight will be very missed.

  3. I hope you realize how influential you have become by writing this blog. No one else does what you do. I just want to say how much I appreciate your contributions to the arts in Indianapolis, and I know it is substantial, because you are frequently one of the top 10 referrers of traffic to my Web site each month. That means that a lot of people have come to rely on you for honest, factual, insightful theatre reviews. I just want to thank you for your support and publicly recognize you for your achievements, and hope that all is well with you.

  4. I thought something seemed to be missing from the Indy Arts fabric! Hope, you’ve made a wonderful impact on the arts community here in Indy with your thorough and thoughtful reviews. Glad to see you are still tweeting #indystage. Like others have said before, I hope all is well with you and I wish you the best. I’m a big fan!

  5. Thank you for your work. Honest, open-minded reviewers are so valuable. Whether or not you return to give on-line recommendations to the public, you’ve done great service. We’ll miss you!

  6. Thanks very much, everyone. Your kind words mean a lot to me! I haven’t stopped blogging forever, just for a while, while I sort some things out.

    Thanks, again.
