I don't think I ever had to wear a headgear - if I did, it was only for a short time and only at home - but I definitely had to wear a retainer. And my braces were a new "clear" (ie - "yuck yellow") plastic instead of the cool silver that everyone else had. And they HURT.

Still, I'm very grateful to have the smile I have now! My parents must have had a pay a fortune for it.

By the way, you have a great smile now, too, Adrienne!

Thanks for reading.

Thank you, Hope. You shed some light on both the one-acts for me. I had many questions about each piece as well, and wished there had been a talkback/matrix discussion afterward. But I had
missed that Boy's name really HAD been "Cookie."
I just assumed that the girl (never caught her name either; good for you !!) was giving him a nickname.
I wore a headgear JUST like that in middle school, but thank goodness I didn't have to wear it during
the day. It was hard enough being a tall, flatchested (yes!) geek anyway...
